Oil Pans/Pickup Tubes
MPC has taken weight saving to the next level by developing plastic oil pans. Whether the pan is part of the engine structure or simply a collection area, MPC has the tools needed to design and produce a cost-efficient assembly. Our engineering team draws upon the sealing aspect of these pans for serviceable gasketing or semi-permanent RTV applications. MPC’s resin partners offer specialized material to resist impacts that allow pans direct exposure to road debris. As in our previous offering, MPC can leverage our expertise to include windage trays, drain plugs and pickup tubes into the pan to reduce the assembly and material handling needs in your facility. Plus, our focused factory is set up to handle the larger tonnage and controls needed to seal these critical components with a zero defect focus every time.

Oil Separation Technology
To separate oil effectively, we first consider three aspects: how to separate the oil (under vacuum and pressure scenarios) effectively, how to drain effectively and which control system flow optimizes design for a particular flow rate. Knowing that, MPC has developed proprietary software for two-phase CFD, and has other developmental tool capabilities including FEA and mold flow. Our resources are all internal, saving our customers time and money on comprehensive services.
