MPC is a heavy hitter in cam covers. In 2014, we delivered nearly 2.2 million cam covers to North America, and all of them were produced using 100% post-consumer recycled material. In fact, we are the largest powertrain vendor in the industry for these materials. As proud as we are of that, we’re also proud of the breadth of our product offerings.

Valves & Tubes

We lead the market for the number of valves we produce every year. If you’re wondering how many valves it takes to earn that recognition, try this: 19 million. In fact, we are the sole supplier for some of the biggest names in the industry. Our defect rate on this high volume product line is nearly non-existent thanks to a highly automated, highly efficient process that upholds our zero defect strategy and Six Sigma goal. In-process performance verification further ensures that every part that goes through our automation cell is checked for quality and customer satisfaction.

Options for every circumstance

Oil Pans/Pickup Tubes

MPC has taken weight saving to the next level by developing plastic oil pans. Whether the pan is part of the engine structure or simply a collection area, MPC has the tools needed to design and produce a cost-efficient assembly. Our engineering team draws upon the sealing aspect of these pans for serviceable gasketing or semi-permanent RTV applications. MPC’s resin partners offer specialized material to resist impacts that allow pans direct exposure to road debris. As in our previous offering, MPC can leverage our expertise to include windage trays, drain plugs and pickup tubes into the pan to reduce the assembly and material handling needs in your facility. Plus, our focused factory is set up to handle the larger tonnage and controls needed to seal these critical components with a zero defect focus every time.

Oil Caps

Oil caps might sound like a commodity, but when combined with MPC’s diverse portfolio of product offerings, it’s clear that they’re a vital one. Producing oil caps inches us closer to a closed loop “system” supplier status, which essentially means one thing—we’re focused on making our customers’ jobs easier. And when 80 percent of the North American market relies on MPC for oil caps, that’s an incredibly large impact on the market.

                    

The (Ownable) Art of Oil Separation

Oil Separation Technology

To separate oil effectively, we first consider three aspects: how to separate the oil (under vacuum and pressure scenarios) effectively, how to drain effectively and which control system flow optimizes design for a particular flow rate. Knowing that, MPC has developed proprietary software for two-phase CFD, and has other developmental tool capabilities including FEA and mold flow. Our resources are all internal, saving our customers time and money on comprehensive services.
